Patrick R. Mindas, Esq.
Workers’ Compensation Lawyer
Patrick R. Mindas, Esq. has been handling Worker’s Compensation cases for over 35 years. He was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar and to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey in 1979. He specializes in representing both petitioners and respondents in worker’s compensation matters. He represents a broad range of self-insured respondents, such as hospitals, educational institutions and government entities in defending workers’ compensation claims and practices exclusively in the workers’ compensation courts.
He has handled thousands of Worker’s Compensation cases and has gone to trial in several hundred cases. He’s covered a wide range of cases, including traumatic injuries, occupational orthopedic and internal claims, brain injury cases, dependency death cases, cases involving total permanent disability and cases involved the second injury fund.
Pat has been designated by the New Jersey Supreme as a Certified Worker’s Compensation Attorney. The Supreme Court of New Jersey has established recognition to those attorneys who devote a substantial amount of their practice to Worker’s Compensation cases. The Supreme Court requires rigorous requirements as to the amount of cases, types of cases and trials before admitting an attorney into the certification. Pat has been certified by the Supreme Court since 1988 and has been recertified every five years since then.
There are only approximately 120 attorneys throughout the state who have been so recognized.
Pat has been a lecturer at Worker’s Compensation seminars including at State Bar Meetings, state meeting of judges and certified attorneys and law day seminars. Pat has been a member of the prestigious workers compensation Inns of the Court of New Jersey for the past twenty years and is presently the chairman of the Union County/Essex County local Inns of Court.
Patrick graduated from Seton Hall University in 1976 and from Seton Hall Law School in 1979.
